Jacob + Kenzie Summer Wedding
Oh you guys. This couple makes my heart smile so much! They have been together for quite some time and through many years of growth as separate people. Even as they nourished their individual needs, their love for each other strengthened. I have witnessed their devotion, joy and let’s be honest….their “hotness”! I was so honored when Kenzie and her mother, Jana, asked me to photograph this day. Jana is an incredible photographer herself and I knew it would be an emotional and powerful day. I remember Jana telling me years ago, when we photographed a wedding for another gorgeous Centerville couple, that Jacob was it for Kenzie. She had such peace in that, knowing that Jacob would be an amazing man for her kind hearted daughter. I can’t wait to see how the coming years unfold for them.
Jacob and Kenzie, enjoy every bit of this newlywed bliss. Each up and down will continue to strengthen your marriage and your incredible love for each other. Thank you for letting me witness your bond and your vows before your loved ones. I wish you the best for this coming year and beyond! I can’t wait to see you out and about and maybe even share a drink at the Jug! <3
I loved the details of this wedding. They were incredibly thoughtful and personal. Little things like this help make each wedding personal and unique. This locket has a picture of Kenzie’s grandparents who would be married over 55 years. The lace is from a grandparents wedding dress. The simple and stunning ring choice match these two perfectly!
I enjoy working with this makeup and hair team so much! Michelle Neagle at Renew Salon and Spa does an incredible job! Michelle is so sweet and fun to work with, so it is always a pleasure to see that she is part of the beauty squad for the day!
Kenzie is gorgeous. Obv. It was hard to narrow down some of her bridal portraits to share with you guys! And can we talk about this location to get ready…holy moly! Heather at the Mansion on Main takes such good care of her guests for whatever event they have at the mansion. I have used this location for many things, and it was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning there photographing this wedding party. She also made the cake (Queen Bee Confections), which featured a very sentimental topper from family.
Kenzie’s momma is incredible and so kind! This is her baby girl and the day was just perfect for her. I know Jana worked very hard to help make Kenzie’s special day amazing and it showed. Things were so well organized, she consulted with me about timeline so we had plenty of time for everything (which was super helpful considering how hot it was outside), and there was no real rush which allowed for everyone to soak in the day rather than running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Who invented that phrase?? Can you tell where Kenzie gets her gorgeousness from??
Jacob and the guys were hilarious. They genuinely wanted to be there for Jacob and the friendships were so sweet to witness. Jacob coaches football and is a teacher, so he is used to being in more casual clothes. He sure cleans up well!
Couples….PLEASE consider doing a first look! We scheduled time for Kenzie and Jacob to get to see each other before they left for the church. Although everyone wanted to see their moment, I strategically placed them so they were blocked from the view. It was a really nice way to give them time together without everyone’s eyes watching to see each other. They relaxed with each other and their closest friends and family before we left for the church, which really allowed them the chance to enjoy these special relationships before they stood together to say their vows and join their lives together.
I think this shot is my favorite for the day. Maybe ever. Seriously.
The flower girls shut the party down. I don’t know where they got their energy but they were going strong long after I left! These two sweet girls have grown up knowing Kenzie and were very excited to be a part of her day.
Jacob’s dad is on another level of awesomeness. I enjoyed his parents so much! They were so happy to have their son marry Kenzie and were throwing it down on the dance floor with moves I only hope I could do without breaking my hip.
Jana walked Kenzie down the aisle and I think everyone cried. Including me. <3
Listen. I’m going to keep it real. If you have little children/babies at your wedding, you are going to get a ton of pictures of them. I can’t help it! They are so cute! Like this guy, with his tuxedo onsie and a jordan ball cap! And then the ring bearer. ADORABLE!
These little details again made everything so personal!
Cheers to you, Jacob and Kenzie! All my hugs, love and support for your incredible union. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! <3
